Our minds are such powerful things in that we as humans can imagine something and use our hands to create the very image perceived. This is a unique and special talent given to us since we have been formed in the image of God our creator.
It is no coincidence that throughout time humans have had a history of creation. This aptitude for creation is a gift from our creator to be used to garner intellect, experiences, and resources that can aid in the betterment of mankind and the progression of God’s overall plans. As the Bible puts it,
Well, first and foremost you must align yourself with the source before anything else. In the book “The Science of Getting Rich” authors Wallace D. Wattles, and Mitch Horowitz outline this spirit and body connection perfectly.
Step 1: Connect Yourself to God
We can enable ourselves to live fuller lives by focusing our minds on the proper things.
Firstly, you must operate in the positive and not the negative. By maintaining positive thoughts you will attract positive things into your life. On the contrary, if you fill your head with negative thoughts you will attract negative things into your life.
The same can be said in regards to finances. If you consider yourself poor, you will have a poor mindset. Therefore you will attract things in your life that keep you poor. If you consider yourself a wealth creator, then you will have a wealthy mindset and do the things that attract wealth into your life.
This idea of thoughts being manifested into reality is not merely a scientific rationale but is a biblical fact.
As you can now see the power to obtain the life we desire lies in our thought patterns and processes. By reshaping your mind, you can reshape your life to be exactly what you want it to be. Wattles and Horowitz outlined the process as;
We must start by believing in God, and knowing that He only wants what’s best for us and wants us to be prosperous in order to help and serve others. When we are able to grasp this key concept and build our lives on it, we are building the most stable foundation there is. Therefore your house will not fall when storms and problems arrive, which they will.
There is a misconception that God wants us to be poor or that there is something wrong or evil about being wealthy and prosperous. However, it’s the opposite that’s true. God wants us to strive to better ourselves and the lives of those around us. In the society that we live in Today money is the medium that drastically aids in this endeavor. It’s not money that is evil, it is the LOVE OF MONEY. We’ll touch more on this later. The point at hand is to rid yourself of the notion that there is something honorable or noble about being poor.
Step 2: Focus Your Thoughts On What You Want
When you focus your mind amazing things begin to happen. You must set your mind thus setting your intentions and actions on that which you want. That is how you are certain to obtain it. If you have doubts that you will actually be able to obtain or do that which you want it will show in your decision making and actions. You want to be sure to have faith that you can actually have what you want.
Along with a positive mindset, you must also obtain a gracious attitude. It’s very important to learn the skill of contentment. When you are content where you are in life you are able to get the focus off yourself and selfishness and focus on helping others and building relationships which in turn helps you anyway. This leads me to step 3.
Step 3: Have an attitude of gratitude
Obtaining wealth in order to help others is one of the noblest things one can do. It’s all about your motivation. If your desire to obtain wealth is rooted in a selfish motive to just buy a bunch of dumb stuff and only enrich your own life, well then that is in fact selfish and evil. It’s when you’re motivated by enriching the lives of your family, friends, and the people around you that God truly blesses your strides.
Obtaining a wealthy mindset is as simple as connecting to your creator who made you, and gives you wealth. Having a positive attitude and using that positivity to think about that which you want constantly. Lastly, learning contentment, which aids in maintaining a gracious attitude.
